In case you can't tell (LOL), I am pretty pissed that I had to install an add-on to accomplish what used to be default behavior (way too much of that with Quantum), but given that I do, I very much appreciate that there IS such an add-on. That is what I have been doing for about 15 years, and it works just fine for me - I know where to look for a bookmark if it isn't where it's supposed to be, and I no longer have to change the default top level bookmark folder EVERY SINGLE TIME I create a bookmark. This lets you find your desired folder MUCH faster than if you were to use Firefoxs default add-bookmark editor (which uses drop-down menus and may requires a LOT. You type the folders name into a search box and it displays all relevant bookmark folders. This add-on allowed me to designate my Bookmarks menu as the default folder again, and save bookmarks to the end of it when I forget to choose a subfolder for them.
